When a manager assigns you operational work in Yrka, it appears in your Tasks tab. You can see every task assigned to you, organized into lanes by status. Tasks give you a clear view of what you need to do, what is in progress, and what is blocked. You only see tasks that are assigned to you — there are no shared team boards or group workload views in the employee app.
Tasks are follow-up records. If a task points you to a timecard, document, training item, or schedule change, you still need to complete that action in its own section of the app.

Finding your tasks

1

Open Tasks

Select Tasks from the navigation bar.
2

Review the lanes

Tasks are organized into lanes: To do, In progress, Blocked, and Done. Review each lane to understand what is active.
3

Open a task card

Select any task to see its full details: title, description, priority, due date, checklist progress, and any comments from your manager.
If no tasks appear, no active tasks are currently assigned to you.

Starting and completing a task

1

Select Start

When you begin work on a To do task, select Start. The task moves to In progress.
2

Work through the checklist

Check off checklist items as you complete them. Your progress saves after each update.
3

Fill in required evidence

Some tasks ask for completion evidence — a note, a number, a pass/fail result, or a reference to a document or photo. Fill in required fields before you mark the task done.
Do not set a pass/fail field until you know the result. An unset field is not the same as a failed result and will not let you complete a required evidence field.
4

Add comments if needed

Use the comment field to give your manager context that does not belong in an evidence field — for example, if you ran into a problem or need to explain what happened.
5

Mark done

Select Mark done when all required evidence is filled in and the work is complete. The task moves to the Done lane.
Task updates, comments, and completion evidence are online-only. Reconnect before submitting. These actions are not added to the offline queue.

Task status reference

StatusWhat it means
To doWork has not started
In progressYou have started but not finished
BlockedHelp, access, information, or manager action is needed
DoneYou marked the work complete; evidence may still be under review
A Blocked status can also mean a manager returned the task for correction. Check for a comment or updated instructions when you see this state.

What you cannot do from Tasks

There are some actions that only managers can perform:
  • You cannot reassign a task to someone else
  • You cannot archive or remove assigned tasks
  • You cannot reopen a completed task unless a manager sends it back to you
  • You cannot see other employees’ tasks or team workload views

Common issues

The button is disabled until all required evidence fields are filled in. Review the task checklist and evidence fields and complete any missing items.
Accepted evidence and checklist state cannot be changed from the employee app. If you need to correct submitted evidence, add a comment explaining the issue and ask your manager to return the task for correction.
Return to Dashboard and refresh. Required Actions clears when the server records the task’s updated state. If it remains, confirm the task is showing as Done in the Tasks tab.
Follow the source link in the task to go directly to the related timecard, document, training item, or schedule entry. Completing the task does not automatically finish the underlying action in that surface.
